Quick rules
- Aim for type variety — overlapping types leave the same holes.
- Keep one bulky anchor that can soak hits while you reposition.
- Cover your gaps — every common boss type should have an answer.
- Avoid stacking a shared weakness, or one boss can sweep you.

Recommended starter paths
Your first pick shapes the early team. Each starter anchors a different coverage style — drop one into slot 1, then build around its gaps.
Bubble (Water)
A forgiving anchor that answers early Fire and Ground routes. Pair it with a Grass or Electric partner to patch its weaknesses.
Blazpup (Fire)
A high-pressure pick that melts Grass, Bug, and Steel foes. Bring a Water or Rock answer for the Water bosses it dreads.
Leafbun (Grass)
Strong against Water, Ground, and Rock routes. Cover its many weaknesses with a Fire or Flying teammate early on.
Boss team tips
Bosses punish lopsided teams. Bring varied typing so a single element can't wall your whole party, and keep at least one member that resists what the boss leans on.
A reliable Water or Ground answer covers a lot of early and mid bosses — both pressure the Fire, Rock, and Ground enemies you meet most. Whatever you build, don't stack one weakness: if the coverage panel flags a shared weakness, swap a member before the fight.
